This half term, the children have been working hard. They have enjoyed settling into year 3 and working together as a class. As our Christian Value for this half term has been thankfulness, we have thought lots about what this means, who we are thankful for and why it is important to be thankful.
In English, we have learnt a new story called ‘The Cobbler and the Dragon.’ The children enjoyed finding out about the characters and created their own version of this story. They changed the dragon to their own monster. We have also written information texts about different types of unicorns.
In art, the artist that we have studied is Paul Klee. He is an abstract artist who uses lots of shapes, patterns and colour in his artwork. The children have enjoyed creating work in his style practising using chalk pastels to create different tones of colour. Take a look at some of the amazing artwork that the children have produced.
