Worship
Worship is a fundamental part of every day life at St Leonard's, and all staff and children are encouraged to worship in a variety of ways whether that's through words, prayer, and singing. There is a rich and varied opportunity to praise and worship God and opportunity to respond to thoughts, knowledge and feelings in a variety of ways. Through time to pray and reflect, it encourages all to develop their spirituality and find peace.
The worship lead, alongside the worship group 'Trinity', work together using the children's views and opinions and the themes from The Roots and Fruits collective worship resource to provide an interesting and diverse worship plan. It offers a wide range of topics, covering important themes in the Bible, Christian values and important religious times of year. We also use Picture News as part of our class worship time to learn about and reflect on current events.
On a Friday, we join together as school family in our collective worship. This worship is led by either the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher and children from each year group. This is a time to reflect on how we have lived out our school vision over the past week and parents are invited to attend.
