India
We have had a super busy half term in India class this half term.
In English, we have been learning and innovating the story Ghanaian Goldilocks, which has allowed us to create a fantastic story of our own based on a fairy tale character. We have also written an interesting balanced discussion based on the big question should you be given homework?
In maths, the children have really made us proud when learning to multiply and divide a three-digit number by a one-digit number. This was a really tricky unit but the children persevered and showed great resilience in applying methods best suited to each question and now they are extremely confident.
The children have been really enthusiastic when learning all about the Romans in our History lessons. They enjoyed finding out what the Romans left in Britain and investigating which of the Romans inventions is the most important today and why.
They have explored animals including humans in our science unit and will be continuing with this over the next half term. We were very lucky to have a visit from Little Zoo To You, where the children learnt lots of facts and could hold the different animals.
We have also started our swimming sessions at Penwortham Leisure Centre. Each week, the children give 100% effort when trying new swimming techniques. We are looking forward to be continuing with this next half term!
