  • School Closure 5th January

    Mon 04 Jan 2021
    Dear Parents/Guardians,

Following tonight's announcement school will be closed tomorrow FOR ALL PUPILS, please note this includes breakfast club.

In line with the Government directive, vulnerable and key worker children will be able to access school provision from Wednesday the 6th January 2021.

In order to facilitate this, if you are a 'Critical Key Worker' please email: head@st-leonards-pri.lancs.sch.uk by 10.00am tomorrow Tuesday 5th January 2021.

The Government's message is that we are all safest at home and therefore please be mindful to only contact school if you have no alternative provision.

Class teachers will contact their pupils tomorrow with further instructions regarding home learning.

We understand that this is a very difficult time for our families and children and we will do our upmost to support everyone over the coming weeks.

We will endeavour to provide you with further information as soon as we are provided with this from either the Government or Local Authority.

    Kindest regards,

    K A Proctor
  • School Opening 4th January

    Sun 03 Jan 2021
    Dear Parents,

Apologies for the late message, we have been keeping an eye on the national news throughout the weekend.

At this moment in time, school remains open tomorrow. We implore you to adhere to all of the health and safety measures that have been put in place by school, these include:

    • Staggered start and end times/areas for each class
    • Social distancing
    • Wearing a face mask
    • Only one parent attending site
    • Only attending site when necessary

We can assure you that we will be adhering to health and safety rules in school by maintaining very tight discrete class bubbles, where there will be no movement of staff or pupils between bubbles. We will also be continuing with very stringent hygiene routines.

We look forward to welcoming the children back tomorrow.

    Many thanks,

    Kay Proctor
